DJW Associates was established in 2004 by three senior medical education leaders whose combined experience represents nearly 50 years as medical school deans and more than 25 years directing or serving the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, the body responsible for accreditation of  US and Canadian medical schools.  Each partner has a passion for excellence and is committed to the continued enhancement of medical schools and academic medical centers through leadership development, quality improvement through the accreditation process, strategic institutional planning, educational innovations, and community engagement.

The experience and expertise of the principals is deep and broad, spanning four decades of participation and leadership in US medical education.  In their national and local leadership roles, each of the principals has been involved with strategic program planning and execution; educational model development; accreditation; recruiting, developing and retaining skilled faculty and staff; medical education and ambulatory clinical facility planning and development; resource development and management; financial forecasting; quality improvement; and community relationship building.
